This week’s playlist goes a little something like this…
New York’s Computer Magic (or Danz, if you prefer, which I think I may be starting to) continues to live up to her name with two new super new synth pop numbers.
First up is the awesome, ABBA-esque “Everybody Feels That Way Sometimes.” Just try not clapping and dancing along to it. She practically dare you.
Then, fresh off the presses comes the darker, more italo-tastic “The End of Time.” This one is the farthest she has ventured out onto the dance floor yet, and hopefully she’s in no hurry to leave.
As if that wasn’t enough, Danz has already compiled a second free EP called Hiding From More of Our Time. Already showing considerable creative growth from its predecessor, it features recent standouts “Victory Gin” and “About You” in addition to three other new tracks. Get it while you can.
As of right now, Danz has released roughly and an album and a half’s worth of free music this year. We’re getting way more than our money’s worth. Believe me.
Brooklyn’s Computer Magic continues to impress with this recently released synth-pop ditty. I’m getting a Best Coast-meets-Wild Nothing vibe from it. Anyone have a problem with that combination/comparison? Didn’t think so.
Here’s a new song from Brooklyn bedroom-pop tart Computer Magic called “About You.” Sounds like she’s taking a bit of a break from her previous lo-fi Au Revoir Simone schtick and going for something a bit more motown. I like it. Fits her voice nicely.
