Warm Thoughts

One of my biggest New Year’s resolutions for Pop That Rocks in 2011 was to finally post a mix. I had originally contemplated beginning a series of them early last year but that was stifled by lack of time, focus and/or motivation. Fortunately, the holiday break invigorated and inspired me enough to create this.
Nothing too fancy. Just a selection of some of my recent favorite songs and artists, most if not all of which have been written about on the blog or spun on my radio show at some point over the past several months. In an attempt to keep things loosely thematic, I went with songs that best suit the snow and schizophrenic temperatures that often come with the Winters here in Philadelphia. I hope these songs will work together to keep you warm on many a cold night this season, be they through their sun-bathed Balaeric beats, thick layers of dream pop haze, or icy hot electro.
Download my Warm Thoughts mix and preview the full tracklist after the jump. If the reception is good enough, I might make this a recurring thing. We’ll see. For now, there’s this…
